Valentines Day 2012

This year for Valentines Day the girls made their own Valentines Day cards to hand out at school!  I found these cute printable cards on Pinterests. The cards feature the basic outline of a face on the front for the kids to customize to their hearts content.

The picture comes like this
I printed, cut, and scored each card and then the kids took it from there!

Nyah & Sade each colored a picture of each individual student in their classes for a totally custom Valentine Card!

Cali got into the Valentine making spirit too :)

I can not get over how cute the girls cards turned out!
These are some of Sade's cards...

& this is the card Nyah made for her teacher!

We hope you are all having a wonderful
Valentines Day!

A Three Act Play

The following is a one person skit that Sade learned at school today.  It is even more funny when Sade does it the "correct" way & plays all three parts.  The napkin is the second character, so to speak. It is the bow for the damsel in distress, the mustache for the villain, as well as the bow tie for the hero.

The girls thought it was so fun that they acted out the play over and over, finally collaborating by splitting apart the characters between themselves.  These three "acts" are the result :)

The Name Game

As a part of Family Night a few weeks ago we decided to play a name game!

The subject of course is to name our little boy.  To play we each got to write three names, each on their own slip of paper, and drop them into the pot.
Jeremy was chosen to draw two names, a first and a middle name.  Here is how it went...

(Please ignore the large pile of laundry in the shot. I was in the middle of washing and sorting all our baby girl cloths that we will now no longer need to save!)

Just in case you were wondering,
here are the names (in order) created from our game:
B4 GABC
Jace Methuselah
Monkey Kean
Nice (Nick) Kean
Jashua Bootsin

Also in case you were wondering the real name for our baby will either be
Jace Zeplin Risser -or- Kean Zeplin Risser
Jeremy & I are still deciding between these two.  To be honest, we may just wait until the baby is born so we can see if he looks more like a Jace or a Kean!

To G.K. & Susanna: if you are in need of any name ideas for your sweet little boy, I have three little girls who are more than willing to send some name ideas your way :)

p.s. the name Jashua Bootsin is free to anyone who wants it!
