Dance Recital

So Nyah and Sade both had a great time at their dance recital last night and I have the video's to prove it!

Nyah is Five: birthday pictures

Here is the birthday update with pictures that I promised. This is the rest of Nyah's birthday from where I left off on the last post. So shortly after I left you, Jeremy came home from his half day at work (this means 5:30am-9:30am for those of you that don't know his crazy schedule). Nyah opened her birthday presents which mainly consisted of cloths and cars; she has lately been asking for cars so as you can imagine Jeremy took that and ran... (we now have a lot of cars).

After the gifts were opened we took off to Disneyland and had a great day. Cherryl, Kyle, Kayla, and Jason (Kayla's boyfriend) met up with us. We had so much fun that we stayed till it the park closed. Here are some pictures from the day...

So we have been watching a lot of the TV show "Deadliest Catch" and I'm thinking it might be effecting Nyah and Sade. What do you think, future captain and first mate?!

In line for the Tea Cups. Despite the look here on Nyah's face, she was very excited. Both Nyah and Sade wanted to go again after we got off . Did you notice the strange girl in the background, what's her problem :)

HaPpY BiRtHdAy NyAh!!!

Today is Nyah's 5th Birthday!!! When we all woke up I said, "Happy Birthday Nyah, you are 5, you are so big!" To this Nyah responded, "I know, I am sooo big now. Sade, Sade come here stand next to me and see how big I am now!"

Whoops, I still forget how literal kids are :)

I would explain that she has not really grown any great amount over the course of one night, but at this very moment she is measuring the distance between the top on the couch and her arm pit and she is just too happy!

A Clover Story

This story begins the week of St. Patric's day, when Nyah learns about clovers. Ever since this time Nyah has been on the look out for the elusive little plant. Over the last few weeks Nyah has pointed out many plants asking if they are clovers, they were not. Despite the many disappointments Nyah never wavered in her search. :)

Then last Saturday while visiting with Poppie Gordon, at his house, Nyah runs in from the backyard very excited. Clinging to a small green plant she announces that she has finally found a clover and drops it on the table in front of Jeremy and I. I gave it a quick glance and confirmed that she really did find one, when Jeremy (noticing right away the true value to her find) declares that not only was she successful in finding a clover but she found a four leaf clover!!!

I've heard that the odds of finding a four leaf clover are something like one in ten thousand; but the odds of finding a four leaf clover, the very first time you ever find a clover!? The odds of that are pretty incredible!

Easter Clothes

Cherryl bought Nyah & Sade the cutest Easter dresses this year!!!
We dressed the girls up and took a few pictures outside.
Nyah and Sade called them fairy dresses and danced around the yard while we tried to get pictures
(they didn't really want to be still, but who would)!
