How to take a picture...

So you may be asking yourselves, "just how does Kristy capture such emotional range in her children?!" I have decided, as a service to you ;) to provide a behind the scenes video, revealing the art of capturing my children in motion. With some practice you too may enjoy priceless pictures such as these :)

Bunk bed = happiness all around

It seems that the older the kids get the more space they seem to require. Jeremy & I got tired of all the toys making there way into the living room because there "isn't enough space to play" in the bedroom.
To resolve this problem, Jeremy took off to Ikea to buy bunk beds for the girls and I set to work taking apart 3 beds (Nyah's has a trundle under it).
Anyway, by the time Jeremy got home I had 2 of the 3 beds completely disassembled and repackaged to be put in storage. We worked together collapsing the last bed and putting up the new ones. Jeremy then had the difficult task of putting everything in storage by his self in 110 degree heat :(
Many hours and two very tired parents later the work was done! The girls LOVE their beds and the room (not to mention the whole apartment) feels a lot bigger!
It hasn't been a full week and the bed has already been a jungle gym, a ship, a castle, a mountain with a cave, a fort (complete with sheets wrapped around it) and countless other things! So far all toys have remained in the bedroom leaving many satisfied customers :)

Today is my Grandparents 60th wedding anniversary!!!
Congratulations Grandma & Grandpa, on 60 wonderful years and a whole eternity more :)

Update

Well I know I've been ignoring the blog but on top of all the normal things that keep us busy Nyah and Sade have been dealing with "Hand-foot-and-mouth disease". This sounds worse than it is and has been more of an annoyance than anything else. (in a nut shell: it is Highly contagious, can result in soars on the hand, foot and mouth, can cause high fevers, mostly affects children under five and has no treatment, it just goes away in a few days on it's own). Sade got it first (probably from putting her hands on a contaminated surface) and has had more of the symptoms than Nyah. Sade got the soars in her mouth first and it made eating difficult until we switched her to softer foods. She also had the small blisters on her hands and feet, luckily they didn't bother her one bit (though they did look painful). Nyah caught it a few days later and had only one soar in her mouth, and one on her hand. Nyah didn't have any complaints but on Sunday she had a fever which kept her home and away from other children. Everyone seems well today and after spending more than a week at home we can't wait to get out and do things again!
In addition to all this our computer is rapidly breaking down. Our 2008 pictures file has some kind of infection. I haven't had any luck getting it opened to back-up and save the pictures let alone post any here. So sorry, no pictures today.

Boys Beware; Sade has you all figured out!

I was putting laundry away in our room when Sade came in to jump on the bed and talk. She had a lot of energy and didn't seem to care if I was listening to her or not (which I wasn't really).
Anyway she was getting a bit animated so I turned from my own thoughts to pay better attention to what she was saying. This is what I learned:

"[If] a boy wears a skirt and thinks he is pretty but he's not, it's disgusting... he thinks he's a girl but he's not!" (I was hanging a skirt at the time)

"Sometimes boys think they are silly but they are not, they are just boys; but thats ok."

Sade is always analyzing and with the verbal skills to match, it is amazing to hear what is in that mind of hers! Poor boys, they never had a chance :)
