The kids are feed, they have bathed and are listening to Jeremy read them The Kings Stilts by Dr. Seuss. I have gone to lay on our bed because I have been having tons of Braxton Hicks contractions and am tired. I listen to Jeremy's voice from the other room as he takes on the various characters in the book. The kids are wiggly and interrupt many times. The baby begins kicking me, and I can't help but smile (I know once the kicking gets stronger, I won't be quite as pleased, so I enjoy it for now). I can't help but wonder out loud what is going on in my tummy and have to tell our growing little baby how much I love her. I notice the reading has stopped as the story is just getting to the good part. Sade comes running into the bedroom and jumping on the bed, asks what I am doing. I say I am talking to the baby and she immediately relays some very important information to our little unborn, including, "baby I will help you learn not to fall in the potty" and "don't touch your bummy because that means you'll have to wash your hands". She then runs off to hear the story, only to run right back seconds later, because she wants to talk to the baby more. The story finishes without Sade, and Nyah wanders in wondering what was so interesting that Sade would miss the story's ending. Sade has just asked if she could sing to the baby and Nyah quickly joins in. Jeremy hears the singing and soon we three (unborn baby included) are being serenaded with : Rock-a-Bye Baby, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, I Am a Child of God, A Child's Prayer, The ABC Song, Book of Mormon Stories, Popcorn Popping, and the most entertaining version of The Wheels On The Bus that I've ever heard! I love my life!

IT'S A GIRL!!!

Congratulations to the 52% of you who guessed that it would be a girl.

We found out today that there's about an 85% chance that we'll be having another girl. Woo hoo!!! It was fun being there with Kristy because she called out that it was a girl before the nurse even had a chance. Kristy's an experienced mother of girls, so it didn't surprise me that she knew what to look for. Later, when we told Nyah and Sade that they are going to have a little sister they were both running around and jumping at the news . It was so fun to see the excitement on their faces.

Stay tuned for ultrasound pics. As soon as we can get a hold of a scanner we'll be sure to put some pictures on the blog. The baby was so cooperative during the ultrasound that it was unbelievable! We saw so much, and the nurse was so excited that she ended up taking 90 pictures! It was amazing. There were some points where you could even see some of the features of the baby's face. At one point the baby was sucking her thumb and later she was tapping her foot, it was just beautiful and there is no other way to describe it.

I think that the best part of having the ultrasound is that everything is so real now. Sure we've heard the heart beat and seen the baby before (when it was the size of a bean), but this just took my breath away and made me extremely excited to welcome this baby into our world. I'm looking forward to February.

Now we just need to come up with a name. The winning name will go to the highest bidder, so lets get started people. :) j/k
