Jeremy has been dreaming of the day he gets to teach the girls to surf and after all his waiting the day finally came! Jeremy took Nyah out first. She doesn't know how to swim well yet and especially not in the ocean so she got to wear a cute pink life vest.
Nyah was amazing! She was excited to try and did really well. On her first attempt she just rode the board all the way in on her stomach.
On her second try she got to her knees on her own and never fell, it was a great ride all the way to the shore! Then Jeremy stood her up to see how well she could balance. You can see the wave coming up behind her in this picture. She actually caught it and stayed up for a little while! Nyah LOVED it!
Sade watched Nyah surf and was sooooo ready for her turn when Nyah was done. She even got in a little practice before she went out.
The water was cold and we didn't have wet suits for the kids so this is Sade getting used to the water :)
Sade did really well too. She never tried to stand, but she did stay on the board every time and if you are wondering what she thought of all of this just enlarge the picture and check out her face... she LOVED it!
Jeremy wanted to see if Sade would stand too but this is as far as he got. Out of the water she was too cold and fell quickly.I was impressed that they were so willing to try to surf and even more excited at how well they did; but the best part is that our little surfer girls are excited to do it again!
